Balloon Rocket

Balloon Rocket

Equipment:

• 1 balloon
• 1 long piece of string
• 1 plastic straw
• tape

Method:

• Tie one end of the string to a chair or something else supportive
• Put the other end through the straw then tie to a chair
• Blow up the balloon (don’t tie it) and tape it to the straw
• Release the balloon and it should go flying from one end of the string to another

Hypotheses:

I think it will zoom across the string

Observation:

When we released the balloon it went everywhere and we think it’s because it was to big

Conclusion:

I think we needed to blow up our balloon a bit smaller
