Production is over!!

4/9/14
Dear Diary, this is my last entry. I will really miss writing to you. Anyway the final night went very well and I was relieved that it was finally over. It’s been fun doing this but for the final time I have to say good bye. This is your friend Elijah. See you later.

Reflection for the Production Journey Through The Legends

Something I was pleased with was my performance because I did better than I expected.
I really enjoyed learning how to be slow and loud with my lines  because I was quiet and fast when we started.

Something I found hard was not falling asleep during the show because I was REALLY tired.
Something that made me think was being louder.
Something I want to get better at is my actions.

My favourite part of the production was getting to watch the other performances and then showing them mine.

My best bit of feedback for the production was from Mum . She said to me that “She was really pleased with how I did and that she was amazed!”

Skyping the Commonwealth games village

Reflection for Skying Cam's uncle

Today we skyped Cam's uncle Craig Palmer (a sport scientist for the Commonwealth games (he works with the cyclist). He was inside the Commonwealth games village.
He told us lots of interesting things.
Heres what I thought:

Something I was pleased with was that we were lucky enough to see inside the village.
I really enjoyed learning was that there is about 320
It was really cool hearing about all the things that Craig does as a sport scientist. His job is to make sure the athletes are eating right, he collects the details of their performances to make training programs, makes sure the athletes are improving etc.

I also learned things like the velodrome in Glasgow is 250m around, he has been working in the Commonwealth games for 2 years, the athletes have to train everyday etc.

Holt Plantetarium

HOLT PLANETARIUM VISIT
Monday 16 June 2014

Something I enjoyed was the dome room, because I like how we could see all the stars.

Something I found interesting was black holes, because I was wanting to learn more about them this term.

The most exciting thing about space is the different planets, because I like all the different forms, colors and patterns.

I would like to learn more about Mars.

“How do stars in the universe have an impact impact on us?”
I want the rest of my inquiry topic to be about: Milky Way

Questions:
  • What are the names of other planets out there?
  • What are the names of some of the other earth like planets?
  • How long would it take to get to these planets?
  • Is it true that the center of the milky way is a black hole?
  • How many planets have been found so far?
  • How bright is the average star?

My Optimist Yachting and Kayaking

This week we have been doing Optimist yachting and Kayaking. i have had lots of fun. Here is my reflection.

Reflection for

Something I was pleased with was that I didn’t capsize
because I have capsized many times before and was expecting to do it today.
I really enjoyed learning how to control the sail because I had no idea what I was doing.

Something I found hard was holding the rope still because the wind was blowing hard into the sail and I couldn’t grip the rope properly.
Something that made me think was trying to duck when we did a 180 degree turn and the sail flipped over because I almost got hit the first time and tried hard to not get hit again.
Something I want to get better at is holding the rope I can get better at this by holding on tighter because it usually slips.
